Preparation of Formaldehyde, 10% solution (formalin 10%)
Commercial formaldehyde (CH2O) solution is called formalin and it is 37% , so if you get 100 ml formalin (37% formaldehyde) and dissolve it in 300 ml Distilled water then you prepared 10% solution of formaldehyde (i.e. 37/[100+300]=9.25 almost 10)
Then Transfer the solution to a glass-stoppered bottle.
Label the bottle “FORMALDEHYDE 10% SOLUTION” and write the date.
Warning: Formaldehyde is corrosive and poisonous.
