Dilution by the Special Red blood cell pipette

In some labs they use special pipette for Red blood counting by which you can pipette 10 μl blood from finger puncture directly and dilute the blond in a built in reservoir.

–         In this case, after you pipette 10μl from the blood from the finger puncture or from whole blood sample,  you should wipe the tip of the pipette to avoid diluting errors and contamination of the isotonic solution with the blood

–         Then pipette the 2ml of the isotonic solution until you fill the reservoir of the pipette as in the following picture
